TaskOrbit

A task management & workforce admin panel with real-time field tracking.

React JSNode.jsExpress.js
TaskOrbit
Overview

A full-featured web-based task management platform built around three separate login roles — Client, Admin, and Employee — each with its own dashboard and access control. It replaces scattered spreadsheets, calls, and messages with one coordinated system that runs a job from request all the way to completion.

The challenge

Field-service work is coordinated across three very different people — the client raising the job, the admin routing it, and the employee doing it — usually over phone and paper. The platform had to give each of them exactly the view and controls they need, and keep everyone in sync in real time.

What we built
01

Three roles, three dashboards

Client, Admin, and Employee each get a dedicated dashboard and scoped permissions, enforced through role-based routing and a UI that adapts to whoever's logged in.

02

Request → allocation flow

Clients raise cleaning or work-related tasks through the platform; the admin reviews each incoming request and allocates it to the most suitable employee based on their availability and skill.

03

Real-time live tracking

The admin monitors field-staff location and task progress live from the dashboard, so work happening out in the field stays fully visible back at the office.

04

In-app chat

A built-in chat module keeps client, admin, and employee communicating inside the same platform — questions, updates, and clarifications all stay attached to the work instead of getting lost in external apps.

05

A robust API backend

REST APIs built on Node.js and Express handle the full task lifecycle, user management, and notifications — the engine coordinating every role behind the scenes.
